How we rate
A transparent, simple methodology.
Honest note: every current score is an early score based on official docs and demos. We have not tested these tools hands-on yet.
The four criteria (each 0–10)
- Capability: what the tool can actually do for building software, according to its docs and demos.
- Ease of use: how quickly a builder can get to a working result. No-code builders score higher here; frameworks and CLIs need more setup.
- Value: what you get for the price. Free and open-source options get credit.
- Docs & maturity: quality of documentation and how established the tool is. Very new or self-described "early" tools score lower.
The overall score
The overall score is our editorial judgment informed by the four criteria. It isn't a strict average.
What we don't do
- No one can pay for a score or a higher ranking.
- We don't publish user counts, testimonials or stats we haven't verified.
- We link to each tool's official site.
